Доклады / Who is your Product Owner, and what does he/she do?

A Product Owner (PO) is responsible for maximizing the value of what the team builds. The PO role has changed over the years; it has morphed from being the "lead" Stakeholder to a full-fledged member of the team. In this talk we discuss the modern way of looking at the Product Owner, both as a person and as a role.

As a person, the Product Owner is the Team Member who is accountable to management for the success of the team. As a role, the Product Owner has more responsibilities than most people can handle, including Stakeholder Management, providing Vision and Features, Release Planning, Driving the Team, and Accepting and Releasing the Team's Product. This means that the Product Owner's responsibilities are actually accomplished by many people, not just the Product Owner. In this session, we describe the challenges this presents to both the Product Owner and the Team.
